Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt
Start your adventure with a morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Fez. Drive through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland of Morocco.” Visit the Azrou cedar forest to see Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat. Continue to Midelt for an overnight stay in a hotel with dinner included.
Day 2: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, journey through the Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages. Stop in Erfoud, known for its fossils and dates, then arrive at Merzouga Desert. Experience a camel trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset, followed by an overnight stay in a Sahara desert camp with traditional Berber dinner and music.
Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, then have breakfast at the desert camp. Travel to the dramatic Todra Gorges, then drive through the scenic Dades Valley (Valley of Roses, seasonal). Continue to Ouarzazate, known as Morocco’s “Hollywood of Africa,” and visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight stay at a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous kasbah. Drive over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains for breathtaking mountain views. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where the tour ends with drop-off at your hotel or airport.
Fes → scenic stops → Ouarzazate break/visit → continue to Marrakech
